CBSE Class 12 board exam 2021

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said on Friday that it has not taken any decision yet on class 12 board exams 2021 even as a section of students and parents have been demanding cancellation of exams in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

“It is clarified that no such decision has been taken regarding CBSE class 12 examinations as being speculated in certain sections of media. Any decision taken in this matter will be officially communicated to the public,” said the national school education board.

The Board is expected to review the situation after two weeks. However given the current situation, the Board may scrap the exams all together. An alternate mechanism to assess the students will also be worked out.

A senior ministry official said, “Given the current situation, there is possibility of scrapping the exams altogether. CBSE will review the situation and probably would have to work out an alternative assessment scheme for the Class12 students”
