Joe Lara, famously known as the star of the movie Tarzan: The Epic Adventures and Tarzan in Manhattan, has passed away in a plane crash in Tennessee.
Seven people, including Joe and his wife, Gwen Shamblin Lara, have been reported dead due to the crash, on 29th May, Saturday.
The private jet took off from Smyrna Airport and was heading towards Palm Beach, but somehow crashed into Percy Priest Lake not too long after takeoff. After the accident, rescue crews were dispatched to the location of the accident, but after an all-night operation, it was confirmed that all the passengers in the jet have died.
An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the crash.
“We are no longer in an attempt to (look) for live victims at this point so we’re now recovering as much as we can from the crash site,” said Captain Joshua Sanders, commander of the Rockingham County Fire and Rescue (RCFR).
On Sunday, it was revealed that some “Human remains and several components of the aircraft,” were recovered.
Although best known for his acting in the Tarzan movie and Tv franchise, Joe had decided to quit acting in 2002 to pursue a career in country music.
