From being an acting aspirant to rising to stardom, Sushant Singh Rajput has had his own roller coaster expedition. 14th June 2021, marks a year of the actor’s demise. The day when we lost one of the finest actors of the industry.
Amidst the pandemic, when this unfortunate news arrived at the door, it blew the whole nation. Belonging to a humble background, his stairway to stardom will be reminisced on this day henceforth, inspiring many.
Sushant was not only a flawless actor but also a fabulous dancer and, above that, a modest being. As per the Mumbai police investigation, the actor died by suicide. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his house. Nonetheless, it has been a year since the ton of controversies over his untimely death are going on. A few days after his death, a flurry of rumours started.

Some people insisted that he was murdered by some influential people from the industry or as an outcome of the industry’s prolonged nepotism that still prevails. Henceforth, his fans and even the general public demanded a further probe into the case. From maligning his girlfriend as the conspirator for months to insisting upon CBI intervention, the demand to keep the investigations ongoing for the case keeps surging on social media platforms like Twitter from time to time.

Following his demise, a lot transpired in this Covid-year, and three government agencies–the CBI, NCB, and ED–got involved and are still investigating the SSR death case.
As per the latest development in the death case, the NCB arrested late SSR’s friend Siddharth Pithani in connection with the drug case just a few weeks ago. However, Siddharth Pithani had requested bail, citing marriage as the reason. On 17th June, his bail application was heard in court and the court denied his request.
Nonetheless, the Court allowed Siddharth Pithani to be out on parole for a few days for the upcoming marriage on June 26th. At the same time the court has given him an ultimatum to surrender himself again on July 2nd.
We hope that soon a closure would be given to this unsolved murder mystery so that his soul may rest in peace.

Sushant won the National Olympiad in Physics. Being a voracious reader, he had a strong interest in astronomy. Subsequently, he was accepted into the Delhi College of Engineering (now known as Delhi Technological University) to study mechanical engineering for a Bachelor of Engineering degree. Nevertheless, Sushant claimed that he had no interest in engineering but that his family coerced him to do so, leaving him disappointed.
Instead, he aspired to be an astronaut and eventually an air force pilot, but he was also a fan of Shah Rukh Khan and was interested in Bollywood. He took a life-changing decision as he dropped out of his engineering program in his fourth year in 2006 to pursue a career in the arts and performance. Henceforth, he began his career as a small screen actor.
He got his first breakthrough in the television industry with a show titled Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, produced by Ekta Kapoor in 2008, followed by the top rating show Pavitra Rishta. Afterwards, his journey took a smooth turn as he reached the pinnacle of one of the highest-paid actors of the television industry.
As an ambitious being, he did not stop at this juncture. His dream of becoming a Bollywood star induced him to work harder. His ardent efforts did not go in vain when he eventually got cast for one of the prominent roles in his first debuted blockbuster movie Kai Po Che, released in 2013.
It gave him a toehold in the silver screen industry. Since then, no one could cut his wings. He flew higher in the sky, as he became one of the most loved Bollywood stars while impressing audiences with his marvellous performance in movies like M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), Kedarnath (2018), and Chhichhore (2019), to name a few. Breaking the shackles, he did achieve a lot in this short yet inspiring journey.
Fans reminisced about the actor on his first death anniversary.
On the first anniversary of his death, a group of fans congregated outside the late actor’s building to light candles in his honour. A video was taken near the late SSR’s home, which is highly shared on social media, shows supporters lighting candles in front of his photographs.
In front of the images of the late actor, a poster stating ‘Fair Justice for Sushant Singh Rajput’ was also spotted. Since last night, the hashtag #SushantSinghRajput has been trending on Twitter. Fans have shared many memories as memorials to the late actor, ranging from celebrating his professional achievements to honouring his humanitarian activities.
His colleagues in the film industry also paid tribute to him on social media.
Bhumi Pednekar, who co-starred in Sonchiriya with the late actor, posted a flashback shot from the shoot. She wrote “Miss you, your questions and everything we spoke about. From the stars to the things unknown, you showed me the world like I had never seen it before. I hope you’ve found your peace my curious sweet SSR…Om Shanti 🤍 #Forever #Ssr #Peace #neutronstar”

Mukesh Chhabra, his long term friend, wrote a heartfelt statement on Sushant’s death anniversary, remembering him. He penned, “Nothing seems to be the same. The void you left behind still remains. Here’s hoping I’ll see you once again. Miss you Brother #stillnumb #sushantsinghrajput.”
